Yeep Book Two

After Sharon and Dean help free the Yeep people from the underground slavery they were subjected to, by the troll-like beings called Yagwals, they help the yeep people establish an infrastructure on the surface of the island. Yeep are tiny sentient beings, less than a foot tall, and easily learn to adapt to the ways of modern man. It’s not very long before another human learns of the yeep existence. In a helicopter raid, a man named Tierley boldly kidnaps several of the tiny creatures.

One of the yeep, Udooloo,  that Tierley kidnapped, escapes with her yeepoo. All adolescent yeeps are called yeepoo. Udooloo and her yeepoo are strangers in an alien world, and must find a way to get back to the island without letting other humans know of their existence. When Dean is finally contacted, he comes to the mainland and rescues all the kidnapped yeep that are still living.

With all the kidnapped yeep having escaped or died, Tierley again raids the island to find more yeep. Tierley has promised specimens of the yeep race to an agent who wants to clone the special tiny beings. Tierley’s presence at the yagwal side of the island does not go unnoticed. On a mission to discover the strange happenings at the other side of the island, Dean and others fall through a sudden sinkhole and Dean is swept down an underground river and ends up trapped deep beneath the earth's surface.

All looks hopeless as Tierley escapes the island with still more of the tiny beings and Dean has fallen down a crevasse deep under the surface of the island. Dean’s injuries are so severe that he succumbs to the ever-beckoning shadows.
